After reading carefully, please type “YES” in each space below to confirm that you have read and understand each promise you are making as part of this application. Failure to uphold the promises below may lead to a loss of honorarium and removal from camp.

If selected I will arrive on time and participate fully in the entire camp 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and until 7:45 p.m. Friday, July 31, for the closing barbeque, program and wrap up meeting, unless excused for illness or required school registration.

I certify that I will NOT use or bring tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs, knives or other weapons, to camp.

I will NOT leave the camp without the permission of the director.

I will be courteous and respectful toward camp leaders, my fellow teen counselors, and campers.

I will NOT use vulgar or abusive language during camp.

I understand that I am in a position of leadership and influence and will NOT use a cell phone, tablet, or other electronic devices from the time camp begins until camp ends.

I understand that successfully completion of Camp Elmwood Teen Leadership Camp is required to participate as a teen counselor at Camp Elmwood.

Week #1: July 20-July 24, 2026 . . . Week #2: July 27-July 31, 2026

Counselor Training for Teens Ages 14-17: In order to participate as a Camp Elmwood teen leader, one must be 14 years of age OR be entering 8th grade in the Fall.

TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMP: TLC is 2-week training, getting to know other counselors and learning leadership skills (e.g., child development, classroom management, public speaking, group dynamics…) that can be used at camp and in making real-life decisions. During teen week, we will also develop games, learning opportunities and activities around our camp theme. Successful completion of Camp Elmwood Teen Leadership Camp is required to participate as a teen counselor at Camp Elmwood.

TEEN SCHEDULE:
Week #1:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:45am to 2:30pm ;
Wednesday (Field Trip) 8:30am to 3pm

Week #2:
Monday – Thursday 8:45am to 2:30pm ;
Friday, July 31, 8:45am to 7:30pm. for the closing barbecue at 5pm program at 6pm and wrap-up meeting.
You will also be asked to stay for a minimum of 2 after-care sessions (until 5:30pm) during Camp Elmwood, during the second week of camp.

COST:
Teen Leadership Camp is free. Teens accepted to be counselors at Camp Elmwood will receive an honorarium of $50 in appreciation of their service and an official certificate for sixty Community Service hours. Each counselor will bring his or her own lunch, a refillable water bottle, and a food contribution for our Friday BBQs. We will provide morning snacks.
